Fishin with Dad

Ben and Roo got a date this week- and they decided to go fishing. (On the ONE beautiful sunny day we had this week- ugg!)  They caught this nice fat trout, and we cooked him up for dinner. YUM!
"Ok- I'll stand by you- but I'm NOT touching the fish"

Easter at the Cabin

We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin- lots of snowmobiling, cross country skiing, Easter Egg Hunting, and just relaxing.
Doodle's FAVORITE spot- on the snowmobile

Roo- sitting on top of the shed- YES- there's still a TON of snow

On the roof searching for Easter Eggs---- did they REALLY think I would climb on the roof to hide them?!

Headed on a ride

Bug- searching behind the cabin for eggs- on the right side is all the snow that slid off the roof of the cabin.

Candy- the best part about Easter Egg Hunts

I love this picture- Ben at the Big Hole fishing, with the mountain in the background

Favorite typing resource

One of our FAVORITE resources is Dance Mat Typing from BBC- http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/  Is a GREAT free online typing program.  It starts with the home row keys and moves all the way up to using all the keys. Roo has just started using this, and Bug and Doodle have used it as well.  We give it a huge thumbs up!

Roo playing Dance Mat typing (YES- that is one o-l-d computer- but it works great for kids school games)

You might be a mom of boys part 2

If your Sandbox looks like THIS:
This is AFTER mom and dad made them fill in most of the hole- the picture doesn't do it justice- all 3 boys can EASILY get lost in the hole for hours!

"Mom- we're going to FIX this lawnmower"
And this tiller too

You might be a mom of boys...

If you find This:
In your refrigerator- and spend the morning researching Worms with your 5 and 8 yr olds.   Fun Worm Website that explains all about worms- did you know that worms have 5 hearts, and no eyes?! http://urbanext.illinois.edu/worms/neighborhood/01-intro.html
